Automatic Gift Tags in DonorDock

Similar to how Badges function to customize and segment contact records, Gift Tags provide a simple yet incredibly flexible approach for classifying and arranging your donations in DonorDock.

Whether you are manually inputting a single gift, processing multiple gifts via an import, or receiving donations through DonorDock Online Giving pages, the system automatically applies three distinct Gift Tags during the gift creation process.

The Major Gift tag is used when a gift surpasses your organization's predefined threshold for a major contribution, the Spike Up Gift tag is added to gifts that exceed the predetermined Spike Up gift value, and the Reactivation Gift tag is added to gifts that successfully transition a contact record from a Lapsed status back to a Donor status.

When gifts are created that are linked under another gift, the gift may be tagged with the automatic gift tag of "Linked Soft Credit" and "Linked Matching".

Additionally when gifts are created through the DAFpay payment option on Online Giving pages, the parent gift will be tagged as "DAFpay gift" while the soft credit linked gift will be automatically tagged as "DAFpay Soft Credit".
