Bulk Logging Letters sent outside of DonorDock

In instances when you do not need to print a template for a report, but only need to add activity that a letter was sent (for example if you sent out thank you cards, postcards, etc), you can add the activity in bulk via these steps.

Fields to select when creating a Letter Activity:

  • Send to. The contact that you are sending the letter to.

  • From. The sender will default to you as the one creating the activity. If you need the letter to be shown to be from a different user from your organization, you may select a different user.

  • Subject. The subject of the letter.

  • Due Date. The date that the letter was sent or if you are scheduling a letter or thank you note to be sent in the future, the date you want to send the letter.

  • Priority. The ranked priority of the activity: Low, Medium, or High.

  • Status. The status of the Activity. Has the letter already been completed, is it incomplete, or cancelled. If status complete, box will appear for Completion Note.

  • Letter Content. If not using a Template, here is where you can type the body or summary of the letter that you are sending or have sent.

  • Campaign. Campaign (if any) the letter activity is associated with.

  • Appeal. Appeal (if any) the letter activity is associated with.
