Automation Journeys

Donor journeys are intentional, step-by-step engagement paths that help guide your donors through meaningful interactions with your organization. Using DonorDock, you can automate and personalize these journeys to strengthen donor relationships.

The Six Strategic Donor Segments

  • First-Time Donors: Individuals who have made their initial contribution.

  • Recurring Donors: Supporters who give on a regular basis.

  • Prospective Donors: Individuals who have shown interest but haven't donated yet.

  • Mid-Level Donors: Donors contributing at a moderate level.

  • Major Donors: High-contributing supporters.

  • Lapsed Donors: Previous donors who haven't given in a while.

DonorDock provides pre-configured journey templates for common donor segments, making it easy to get started.

To Access and Start a Journey

  1. Log in to your DonorDock account.

  2. From the main navigation menu, open on Automations.

  3. Select the “Journeys”

  4. Click on the Journey Name you want to view and edit, such as “First-Time Donor,” “Lapsed Donor,” or “Recurring Donor.”

  5. Update email content, timing, and tasks to reflect your organization’s tone and engagement strategy.

  6. Once you have made your edits, click Start to turn the journey on.
