Automation Steps
Once a Trigger has been set on your Automation, you may set the Steps you would like to take after the triggering event. Automation may have multiple steps (up to 20). Activities set in subsequent steps will be created at the same as the Trigger, with the due date or send date being able to be set up to 365 days in the future.
Steps available
Send Email | Set an email to send to the contact, either from a prebuilt template or email content entered directly on the automation. |

Send Internal Email | Set up an internal email to send the email addresses of your choice. Email addresses listed on this step do not need to be registered DonorDock team members. |
Send Text | Set a text to send to the contact |
Send Letter | Creates a new incomplete letter activity for completion. The step may be set to be completed by the contact's owner or a specified organization user. The incomplete activity will appear on the ActionBoard for completion for the activity owner. Letters may be set with a specific template or by typing a note or letter content into the automation. |
Create Task | Creates a new incomplete Task activity for completion. The step may be set to be completed by the contact's owner or a specified organization user. The incomplete activity will appear on the ActionBoard for completion for the activity owner. Task notes may be added in the automation step |
Add Badge | Add a badge to the contact after the triggering event |
Add to Marketing List | Add a badge to the contact after the triggering event |
Remove Badge | Remove a badge fro the contact after the triggering event |
Remove from Marketing List | Remove a Marketing List from the contact after the triggering event |
Schedule Meeting | Creates a new incomplete Meeting activity for completion. The step may be set to be completed by the contact's owner or a specified organization user. The incomplete activity will appear on the ActionBoard for completion for the activity owner. Meeting notes may be added in the automation step |
Schedule Call | Creates a new incomplete Phone call activity for completion. The step may be set to be completed by the contact's owner or a specified organization user. The incomplete activity will appear on the ActionBoard for completion for the activity owner. Phone call notes may be added in the automation step |
Call Webhook | Call webhook refers to triggering a request to a specific URL (webhook) to notify or communicate with another system or service. |
You can apply additional filters once a step has been set to specify when the Automation runs.
