Configuring Logo on Templates
The Logo Content element provides a convenient way to add your organization’s primary logo to a template using the logo already saved in DonorDock. Instead of uploading and maintaining a separate copy of the same logo on individual templates, the Logo element pulls from your organization’s Branding settings, helping maintain consistent branding across communications created by different team members.
Add a Logo to a Template
Open the Content tab in the Template Editor.
Click and drag the Logo element onto the desired location on your template.
DonorDock will populate the element using the logo saved in your organization’s Branding settings.
Select the Logo on the template canvas to open its available settings on the right.
Adjust the available display, Action, and General settings as needed.
Update Your Organization Logo
The image displayed by the Logo element is managed centrally through your organization’s Branding settings. Administrators can update the organization logo when branding changes or you need to use a new version.
To view or update the organization logo:
Select the Settings Menu (grid icon) in the upper-right corner of DonorDock.
Select Settings.
From the menu on the left, select Branding.
Locate the current organization logo within the Branding settings.
Update the logo as needed and save the changes.
The Logo Content element uses the organization logo saved in these settings, so your templates can reference centrally managed branding instead of maintaining separate logo files in each template.
Add an Action to the Logo
The Logo can also be made clickable using the Action settings. This is commonly used to direct recipients to your organization’s website when they select the logo, but other supported actions are also available.
Open Website
Use Open Website when the Logo should direct recipients to an online destination.
Enter the destination in the URL field and use Target to determine whether the link opens in the Same Tab or a New Tab.
For example, your Logo could link directly to your main webpage
Send Email
Use Send Email when selecting the Logo should open a new email message.
Mail To | Sets the email address that will populate as the recipient. |
Subject | Sets the subject line that will populate in the new message. |
Body | Adds predefined wording to the body of the new email. |
Call Phone Number
Use Call Phone Number to enter a telephone number that should be used when the Logo is selected.
On a compatible device, the recipient will be prompted to begin a call to that number.
Go to Page Section
Use Go to Page Section when the Logo should direct recipients to another named section within the same email.
Select the appropriate Page Section from the available dropdown.
For example, a Logo near the top of the email could link directly to a organization contact section farther down the message.
General Settings
The General settings control the Logo element's spacing, navigation behavior, and responsive display.
Container Padding
Container Padding controls the amount of space surrounding the Logo.
Setting | What It Does |
|---|---|
Container Padding | Adds space between the Logo and nearby Content elements. |
More Options | Allows the Top, Right, Bottom, and Left padding values to be adjusted independently. |
Increasing Container Padding can help prevent the Logo from appearing crowded against nearby Headings, Paragraphs, Buttons, or Images.
Section Name
The Section Name field allows the Logo element to serve as a destination for internal navigation.
Enter a short, recognizable Section Name if another Menu item, Button, linked Heading, or other supported element should direct recipients to this location using Go to Page Section.
Responsive Design
Responsive Design controls whether the Logo appears based on how the recipient is viewing the email. When editing in Desktop view, enable Hide on Desktop if the Logo should not appear in the desktop version.
When editing in Mobile view, enable Hide on Mobile if the Logo should not appear on mobile devices. Hiding the Logo in one view does not remove it from the template. It lets you customize how the communication appears on different screen sizes.
Logo Tips
Use the Logo Content element when you want to display the organization’s standard logo, centrally maintained in DonorDock. This helps keep branding consistent across your Templates Library and reduces the need for individual team members to upload separate copies of the same organization asset.
When adding a Logo to an Email template, consider making it clickable and linking it to your organization’s website, which gives readers a familiar navigation option. Review the Logo in both Desktop and Mobile views to make sure it fits comfortably within the surrounding layout and does not overpower nearby Content.
If your organization changes its primary branding, administrators should update the logo through Settings > Branding rather than replacing individual Logo elements with uploaded Images.
