Golden and DonorDock

Golden is a volunteer management platform designed to simplify and optimize volunteer coordination. The Golden and DonorDock integration enables the direct transfer of volunteer contact information and activity details from Golden into DonorDock, ensuring smooth and efficient management.

This integration is set up and managed directly within your Golden account.

Information needed from DonorDock to connect to Golden:

• API Key (Public and Secret)

• DonorDock Tenant ID

To Obtain your DonorDock Tenant ID

Please contact DonorDock support at support@donordock.com to request your unique tenant ID.

To Obtain API Key in DonorDock

1. Login to your DonorDock account

2. Navigate to the Settings Menu (grid icon top right of DonorDock) and select Integrations

3. On the top right of the integrations page, click the API key button

4. Enter the application name (Golden) in the New Key box

5. Click the Generate New Key button

6. Copy the API Key and API Secret for use in your integration

To Turn on the Integration in Golden

1. Log into your Golden account

2. From the Golden dashboard, select Settings > Integrations

3. Enter the DonorDock TenantId, API Key, and Secret where prompted

4. Click Authorize

⚙️ How the Integration Works ⚙️

When a new Volunteer is tracked in Golden, the information is sent to DonorDock.

First, we will search for an existing contact in DonorDock using the volunteer’s email address. If a match is found, a new volunteer activity will be added to that contact's record and linked to the corresponding campaign name from Golden. If no matching contact is found based on the email, a new contact record will be created in DonorDock, followed by creating the volunteer activity.
