Migrating from DonorBox

DonorBox is an online fundraising platform that nonprofit organizations use to collect and manage donations. If you are moving your data from DonorBox to DonorDock, you can export your donation, supporter, and recurring plan information as CSV files for import into DonorDock.

For a typical migration, we recommend exporting your donations, supporters, and any recurring giving plans you want to retain.

Export Donation Information

To export your donation history:

1. Log in to your Donorbox account.

2. Select Donations from the left navigation menu.

3. Apply any desired date filters, or search for a specific donor by name or email address.

   • For a complete migration, make sure your filters include all donations you want to bring into DonorDock.

4. Click Export.

5. Choose whether to export all columns or a customized selection of columns.

6. Download the completed export as a CSV file and save it to your computer.

Export Supporter Information

To export your supporter records:

1. Log in to your Donorbox account.

2. Select Supporters from the left navigation menu.

3. Apply name or email address filters if needed.

   • For a complete migration, leave filters broad enough to include all supporters you want to export.

4. Click Export.

5. Choose whether to export all columns or a customized selection of columns.

6. Download the completed export as a CSV file and save it to your computer.

Export Recurring Plan Information

If your organization has recurring donors, you may also want to export your recurring plan information for reference during your migration.

1. Log in to your Donorbox account.

2. Select Recurring Plans from the left navigation menu.

3. Apply any applicable filters, or search by donor name or email address as needed.

4. Click Export.

5. Choose whether to export all columns or a customized selection of columns.

6. Download the completed export as a CSV file and save it to your computer.
