β¨ Update to Billing Address input screen on Online Giving Pages
To enhance the efficiency of the donation process, when a donor uses a DonorDock online giving page with Stripe, the email address, name, address, and phone number fields have been integrated onto the same screen page as payment details. This reduces the input process from three pages to two, streamlining the donation experience.
β¨ Enhancements to the bulk Outreach email experience and boost processing speed.
As Giving Tuesday approaches November 28th, 2023, our team has dedicated significant effort to enhance the backend processing for large email batches. Our goal is to guarantee prompt delivery of your emails and provide transparent, accessible reporting of email statistics.
Our testing of these updates has shown dramatically increased creation of email activities, sending time, and feedback of email statistics.
In addition to the backend updates to improve speed and efficiency, we have also made the following improvements to the email outreach experience:
β Cancel Action for emails in the process of sending
The cancellation option may be found in the upper right corner of the email activity page. This action allows you to promptly abort an email if it was mistakenly sent before completion, eliminating the need to contact DonorDock support.
β Refresh Action for email statistics
When on the Outreach details page for a sent email, you'll find a refresh button in the top right corner of the statistic card. This enables you to update the email statistics seamlessly without leaving the page, ensuring you have the latest information on deliverability, opens, and click rates.
β Send Ratio available for Sent number of emails
In the past, when checking the Sent count of emails, the displayed number represented the overall quantity of email activities generated without specifying the number already sent during the active sending process. Rather than a fixed count for Sent emails, a fractional ratio indicates the progress of the email sending, for example, 523/1000. A message alerting that the email is still being sent will also be shown at the top of the statistic box to confirm the email is still actively sending.
β Detailed breakdown of the usage of marketing emails
You can view your organization's available marketing emails at the top of the bulk emails page. Clicking the question mark icon next to the remaining email count will open a detailed breakdown of your email usage. This breakdown includes your monthly email allocation (depending on your subscription level), the total number of emails sent this month, the additional emails purchased for the month, the emails currently scheduled for the future, and the overall available email count.
β Ability to purchase additional marketing emails added to the Billing page
Your organization is given a set number of Outreach (Marketing) Emails each month according to your subscription level. If there's a need for additional emails, for instance, during a significant event like Giving Tuesday, you now have the option to purchase extra outreach emails in addition to your existing subscription without contacting DonorDock support. We have also included a discount when bundles of emails are purchased, instead of the previous flat rate of $12 per each 5K unit emails.
Bug Fixes
π Updated the Giving Page field for Honoree Name to be mandatory if the gift is designated as a tribute, resolving the error of receiving a tribute gift with no additional information.
π Resolved the issue of the Unsubscribe link appearing twice in bulk emails generated through the duplication action on a previously sent email, specifically when the Unsubscribe merge tag was utilized.
π Fixed error with Fund selection being cleared out on Giving Pages when returning to the donation details page from the billing details page.
π Updated behavior with OneCause integration where the sync removed contact address information if the contact had no address listed in OneCause.
π Corrected error with billing address not creating correctly on a new contact created when a donation is made through Stripe.
π Resolved error with updating a donation frequency after viewing the billing details page in stripe ends in error during checkout.
π Fixed error with emails stalling in queue during send.
π Revised the email calculations to ensure the accurate email quota is deducted from the available balance when sending bulk emails.
π Corrected error in the email statistics where a click was registered, but the corresponding URL was not appearing correctly.
