Otto's Logbook: Release Notes 12.5.2025
As we head into the busy end-of-year season, we’re excited to share our latest DonorDock release. These updates focus on making contribution statements easier to manage, improving reporting flexibility, and expanding integrations that help keep your data accurate and up to date.
Whether you are wrapping up year-end giving or planning ahead for the new year, these improvements are designed to save you time and reduce extra steps when you need things to work smoothly.
✨ Contribution Statement Improvements
We’ve made several updates to improve flexibility and accuracy when sending end-of-year contribution statements using DonorDock’s prebuilt template.
What’s new:
Merge tags may be inserted in the Statement Message field for a more personalized donor message
Fund is now available as a column option on contribution statements
Fixed an issue where statement date ranges were not applying correctly
Resolved an error where individual contribution statements were not generating properly
Updated statements to ensure custom payment types appear as expected
The default Contribution Report now includes additional filtering options, matching the filters available in automations
✨ POINT Integration Available
POINT is a volunteer management platform that helps organizations track volunteers, hours, and engagement. The new DonorDock + POINT integration can help keep volunteer and donor data connected in one place.
Key highlights
Contacts from POINT sync into DonorDock once per day
Volunteer hours recorded in POINT automatically flow into DonorDock
A DonorDock Donate button can be added directly to your POINT page, giving volunteers an easy way to support your organization financially
This integration makes it easier to recognize, engage, and report on supporters who contribute both time and donations when using both POINT and DonorDock.
✨ Fundraise Up Integration
Fundraise Up is a digital fundraising platform designed to optimize the online giving experience. DonorDock now offers a direct Fundraise Up integration, eliminating the need for manual imports and ongoing reconciliation.
What this integration includes:
Automatic syncing of donation data from Fundraise Up into DonorDock
Accurate donor records, gift history, and reporting without extra steps
Ongoing updates to existing donations, including refunds, failed transactions, and status changes
This ensures donor profiles, campaign totals, and reports in DonorDock stay consistent with what is recorded in Fundraise Up.
🚢 Hull Repairs and Bug Fixes
We also shipped a wide range of fixes and behind-the-scenes improvements
Updated bulk text message stats to display sent and delivered statuses without opening individual texts
Corrected donor stats so lifetime volunteer hours now include partial hours
Updated custom payment types to appear in Zapier trigger events when sending gift data
Fixed transactional receipt templates so sending via automation correctly updates Receipt Sent from false to true
Updated contact merge behavior to ensure custom field values are retained
Fixed an Action Board issue where letter activities were missing from timelines
Resolved an issue where Double the Donation confirmation did not appear correctly on giving pages
