Fiscal Year Setting in DonorDock

A fiscal year for a nonprofit is the period used to calculate annual financial statements. When setting up your organization settings, you may set the month start of your Fiscal Year under Organization Settings.

Once set, the Fiscal Year will help determine the numbers that appear on your Reports Dashboard, and set the year gift totals when pulling reports, either when running system standard reports (LYBNTY, SYBNTY) or when selecting the time period of This Year, Last Year, etc on Gift and Activity reports.

To set your Organization's Fiscal Year

  1. Navigate to the Settings Menu (grid icon) and select Organization Settings

  2. Scroll down on the left to First Month of Fiscal Year field

  3. Using the dropdown, select the month your organization's Fiscal year starts

  4. Click Save at the top right Organization Settings to save your update.
